Your first visit
Plan on about 45 minutes with us. The injections are usually the quickest part.

We’ll have you raise your brows, frown, squint, smile — all the glamorous things. We’re looking at which muscles are doing the work, how strongly they’re moving, and how they’re working together. Because that’s what actually tells us where and how much to treat.

Maybe you want your forehead smoother but still want movement. Maybe your biggest concern is your frown lines. Maybe you know you want Botox but have absolutely no idea how many units you need. That’s our job. We’ll walk you through what we see, what we recommend, and what it will cost before we treat anything.

Your result continues developing after you leave us and is best assessed around two weeks. That’s when we can see how your muscles responded to the plan we made and whether anything needs to be refined.

How we treat Botox
Because good Botox isn’t just about making something stop moving.
Your face isn’t a template.
There are standard Botox injection patterns and dosing guidelines. Your anatomy, however, isn’t standard. Muscle strength, brow position, facial movement, and the way different muscles pull against one another vary from person to person.
That’s why we assess your face before we decide where your Botox goes. We think about the upper face as a system, not a forehead, frown line, and crow’s-feet treatment happening independently of one another.
We’re not trying to erase your expression.
We want the lines softer. We want you to look rested. We also want your face to still belong to you.
How much movement we leave depends on your anatomy and what you like — and that’s a conversation we have before we ever pick up a syringe.
We want to see the result, too.
Your appointment doesn’t end when the injections do. We want to see how your treatment settled once it has had time to fully develop.
That two-week visit gives us information we can’t get on treatment day: how your muscles responded to your dose. If something needs a small adjustment, that’s when we make it. And what we learn becomes part of how we plan your next treatment.

Why 40 units? Because for many patients, treating the upper face well means looking at more than one area. Your forehead, frown lines, and crow’s feet all influence how the upper face moves, so we’d rather build one plan around your anatomy than chase individual lines one at a time.
Forty units is a common starting point for a more comprehensive upper-face treatment — but it isn’t a requirement we’re going to force your face to meet.

A few things you’re probably wondering
Botox Cosmetic is a prescription medication and is not suitable for everyone. A consultation is required to determine candidacy. Individual results vary. Potential side effects include bruising, headache, and temporary eyelid or brow drooping, among others. Your provider will review risks, contraindications, and aftercare with you before treatment.
